Wish List

From water testing equipment to workshop boots, from ratchet wrenches to dust masks, you can earmark your donation to purchase specific needed items.

Needed Equipment for Earmarked Donations

  • Water Testing Equipment. $3,000. Important to demonstrate effectiveness of filters.
  • Motorcycle(s). Workshop staff needs transportation for village outreach, and to make delivery arrangements for villagers who cannot travel to Kolar.
  • Uniforms. Crew needs work clothes, shirts, pants.
  • Boots. Crew needs work shoes. Over-the-calf Wellington rubber boots are practical in wet and dusty workshop.
  • Dedication Signs. Adopt-A-Village dedications use large hanging signs, table clothes, bunting to emphasize importance of clean water.
  • Bar Soap. Children in schools can receive a bar of soap, along with lessons in hygiene and proper water use.
  • Baseball Caps. (adjustable). Possibly embroidered with project Sweetwater Filters or SAPWII logo. Variety of colors and logos for entire crew. Very useful for motorcycle/scooter drivers, and special customer gifts.
  • Workshop Tools. Ratchet wrench set or ring spanners (much easier to remove nuts on molds).
  • Utility Knives With Belt Holsters. Used to cut filter media bags. Utility knife with many blades/tools. Swiss Army Knives?
  • Tape Measures. Several. Doesn't need to be long, perhaps 10 feet or 16 feet okay. Use tape measures a lot to place spout in mold, and measure depth of media below the diffuser plate lip.
  • Cell Phone Belt Holsters. Many staff have cell phones. Belt holsters, perhaps with some style, would be useful. Cell covers with project logo.
  • Microscope. Microscope to use in demonstration of water "before" and "after." Not high power, more like a kid's chemistry set. Just enough to show organisms and suspended particles that are removed by filter.
  • Hand Cart. Hand cart specially built ("V" support, carpet padding) to move filters around shop and on deliveries. Filters weigh 160 pounds empty.
  • Dust Masks. More dust masks for crew. Or better types. They wear them, but masks are awkward and stuffy generally.
